An example of why I love Sam as much as I do:
We are not watching the superbowl, or we are but on delay. On that delay (thanks Tivo!) we are just watching the commercials and the halftime show. That's all. Also he keeps calling the Steelers the Penguins. This is what I call superbowl sunday!

I paid more attention to halftime than I did to the entire rest of the game. Which is to say, I noticed that it was Bruce Springsteen playing and remarked on how good he looks for a guy who's turning 60 this year and hummed along to his songs. Otherwise, it was background noise while we ate dinner.
Dave spent the entire second half watching the game in his office and talking to Paul on the phone. The watched the game "together."
That is about the cutest thing I have ever heard! Ha!
We caught up with the actual action for like the last 15 minutes of real time (not sports clock time), and that was kind of exciting and also about the sum total that I am willing to watch football. That was my quota for 09.
