My space makes me feel bad

Not always, mostly it makes me feel happy--like when my friend from grad school becomes enamored of a song by a friend of mine from undergrad that is the song on my page--but then someone random from your far past asks to be your friend. That isn't always bad either, sometimes it is someone you are thrilled to hear from again. Today however, it was a really weird girl from high school. She has two kids (and a new last name, so I am guessing she also has a husband). I can't even remember her real last name though--the one I knew her by--I can only think of her as weird Sonja.

I declined her friendship. I feel a little guilty, but I have actually thought about some random bored weekend going through and ditching people who are just randomly on there. I haven't yet but I probably will, and she would totally get nixed then, so why not nix her now?

And this is all I have time to write because my pretty nerd is on TV.

Myspace is pretty much a disappointment for me these days. I go on out of habit and check my mail, but I always end up staring at all the old friends I don't talk to. And I feel guilty about it. Ergh.

i've been so busy i haven't been able to do anything but check it and maybe do an occasional answer.

that's funny about weird sonja. now i have to go check a look about who that was or whatever. that's funny--no one ever messaged to be myyy friend from high school. i must have been loved. hehe.

i totally got an invite from sonja as well. I am pretty sure that I never even knew her that well to begin with, and I'm almost positive that I don't need to know her now. I just ignored the invite. What a heartless invention myspace is. I'm so glad it didn't exist when we were actually in high school. I'm sure that it would have only fueled my paranoia and self-consciousness. Now it is merely a necessary annoyance. well...necessary? maybe not. Convenient annoyance. Like the grocery store that is closer than all the other stores but has really bad selection and a funny smell, but you still go to it because you don't want to walk the extra three blocks... (I actually just realized that this metaphor is inherently urban- proximity was never that much of a determining factor when I owned a car). This has been an epicly long comment. I hope you have enjoyed it. Farewell.

No that is totally true. The Jewel nearest us is lame, but it is just way too far to get to the Whole Foods or the Dominic's or anything--even though my roomate has a car, the traffic just sucks. Also groceries are heavy.
